Mielenkiintoinen kokemus myös dekkareiden ystävälle. miehekäs, osin raakoja taistelukuvauksia sisältävä kerronta ei sovellu rakkausromaanien ystäville. herkempi herkistyy kyyneliin. oman mausteensa tuo hyvät yksityiskohtaiset historialliset kuvaukset. novellissa huokuu ystävyys, uskollisuus, toveruus ja rakkaus elämää kohtaan. Tarina olisi mielenkiintoinen nähdä elokuvana.
